Jeannie approaches Frank and tells him that when a genie has served a thousand and one masters she is allowed to make a pact with her master before granting him his second wish.
According to this pact, the genie can be freed from her slavery in the lamp during a lunar cycle (a month), in exchange the genie will be replaced by a person who during this period will have access to the powers of the genie and can grant as many wishes as the master requests.
